During our worship service, the Adult Choir will present For Us a Child is Born, BWV #142.  This work was attributed to J.S. Bach and was thus catalogued Bach’s works.  Musicologists have refuted this attribution, and it is now believed the work was composed by Johann Kuhnau. Johann Kuhnau (1660-1722) was the immediate predecessor of J.S. Bach as Kantor at the Thomasschule in Leipzig.  The choir will be accompanied by 2 oboes, 2 recorders, 2 violins, a viola, cello, and continuo organ.  Our soloists will be John David Adams, Jared Vigue, and Beth Harmon.
