The EarthCare Team is hosting a climate mourning service on Monday October 21 at 5pm in the Fellowship Hall followed by a meal together. The service is a chance for us to acknowledge the challenges, anxiety, fear, and sadness that many of us feel during this time of climate crisis, and to hold space to mourn what has already been lost and what will be lost in the future. So often we feel these things in isolation after a climate disaster strikes close to home or we hear a piece of troubling environmental news, but many of us deal with this kind of sorrow. Members of our congregation will share what climate and environmental grief mean to them, and we will hold space for these complicated emotions together as a community.
