Supporting local communities, serving our neighbors and exploring volunteer opportunities

The Christian Outreach Committee works in a variety of ways to be in partnership with organizations serving the needs of our communities. Each month a special offering is presented to the congregation for a local agency serving the community or UCC denominational offerings for more national and international programs. Once a year, the Outreach Committee invites local non-profit service organizations to submit an application for a grant of up to $2000.00. Once reviewed and grants distributed, the organizations are invited to an Outreach Sunday Service in September. Their work and volunteer opportunities are highlighted. The congregation has a chance to meet the representatives following the service. Finally, the committee also reviews the distribution of denominational discretionary funds in the church budget.
