First Parish has won a Maine Humanities Council grant to support a special dramatic performance in our sanctuary by professional actor, story-teller, mime and Maine resident Antonio Rocha. The one-man show, “The Malaga Ship: The Story of Maine and the Middle Passage” (no relation to Malaga Island!), tells the story of the illegal Atlantic slave trade with historical links to Brunswick and to First Parish. This performance will be open to the public free of charge.
