Ann's Spirituality Library February Article

Because Easter is on the 31st of March this year, this month we will begin the season of Lent.  Over the years, I have found that Easter is that much more meaningful if I dedicate some time and focus daily to my Lenten journey.  Perhaps you have considered reading a book to enrich your faith journey.  Although our lending library in the parlor of Pilgrim House has plenty from which to choose, I wanted to introduce you to another book within our collection that might be of interest to you.

Ruth Haley Barton wrote Invitation to Solitude and Silence as a way of helping us all experience and cherish silence.  As she says, “We are starved for quiet, to hear the sound of sheer silence that is the presence of God himself.”  This book was a winner of a Christianity Today Book Award.

Please take advantage of our lending library by checking out any books that interest you by using the notebook on the left side of the bookcase.
