Thanks to all who contributed to the winter gear drive organized by The Emergency Action Network! A very large collection of appropriately sorted and sized mittens, hats, jackets and boots were delivered to all of the Brunswick schools to be distributed to children in need.

We are indeed a giving church! And our special offerings are one of the ways that we give.

Do you know that we are a 5 for 5 Church? This means that we have committed support to the national UCC ministries including Our Church’s Wider Mission and four special mission offerings: One Great Hour of Sharing, Strengthen the Church, Neighbors in Need, and The Christmas Fund.

In December, we contribute to the national UCC mission offering The Christmas Fund for the Veterans of the Cross and Emergency Fund. For over one hundred years, The Christmas Fund has provided direct financial assistance to the healers in all our lives: retired and active UCC ministers, lay church workers, and their families. This assistance includes providing emergency grants, supplementation of small annuities and health premiums, and Christmas “Thank You” gift checks each December to our lower-income retirees.
