Ann's Spirituality Library November Article

New Books!  Because of copyright laws and because this article will be posted each month on the internet on our church’s website, we are unable to include sample pages from the books. A quick stop in the parlor of Pilgrim House will give you the chance to skim a few pages. During the past few months, Rev. Allen and I have talked about enriching our present lending library with the addition of some new books. This month’s highlighted book, No Cure for Being Human, is a favorite for Rev. Allen and one that he has mentioned in sermons and recommended to others to read.  After following his suggestion last year, I read it and found it to be worthwhile.  The author, Kate Bowler, is a professor at the Duke Divinity School.

Below are the covers of the book (click on the images to enlarge them):

Our lending library is available in the parlor of Pilgrim House each weekday from 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. and Sundays from 9:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m.  You can use the notebook on the left side of the bookshelf to check out a book or two by entering the date, your name and the book title.

We hope that you will take advantage of this opportunity to enrich your faith journey.
